BOARD MEMBERS

Dan Alpers, President
A 15 year veteran of Magic: The Gathering, Dan has been THE guy at Central Corridor Gamers (Magic Night to some). In his 15 years of playing and organizing events, Dan has been a husband and a father to a beatiful little girl. Over the years, as a Graphic Designer for various Cedar Rapids businesses, life has changed greatly. Dan's aspirations for CCG are to take every experience, success, or failure one day at a time and see where things end up. "Everything happens for a reason."

Damien Draves, Vice President
Since high school, Damien has been a Magic: The Gathering player who has experienced so many levels of Magic expertise. From noob to afficionado, Damien has been there through thick and thin. Damien's dedication to CCG has made him a valuable asset to the mission of our organization. Now we anticipate similar dedication in his new role as father to an infant son.

Matt Britten, Secretary
Since middle school, Matt (Mattie B.) has been not only one of our many Matthews, but one of our very driven individuals. A Magic: The Gathering enthusiast, Mattie B. has always striven to take his game to the next level. Participating in regional PTQ's has inspired him to not only consider a chance at the Pro Tour, but has inspired him to become a leader figure among other Magic players and now Pokémon players. His Gym Leader status has made him an invaluable leader. Unfortunately for CCG, his capacity has been diminished by his venture into college. We wish Mattie B. the best in his studies and will value his presence more when he stops by for a visit every now and then.

Jordan Trcka, Officer
If it weren't for Jordan, who knows what would have become of CCG. In our time of need, he made it possible for us to make Trinity United Methodist Church our home. Although we have never been affilated with TUMC or any religion, Jordan made it clear to TUMC leadership, that we are a valuable asset to the community, and in our own way (in the eyes of TUMC's pastor and congregation), ministry to the Taylor Area Neighborhood.

Jacob Walraff, Officer
One of our newest officers, Jacob was approached to become a board member for one reason—he cares. Jacob showed such care for the mission of CCG that we had to bring him in for his insight, his drive, and his dedication to all that CCG stands for. Although still in high school, we truly believe that Jacob's contribution will make an impact on CCG for years to come. Not to mention the impact that the opportunities that he will experience at CCG will go with him and aid him in his future ventures.

Many of us are available on any given night at CCG. Feel free to stop in, extend a hand and say HI. We're always available to find an answer to any question you may have or just provide some casual conversation. We are all very passionate about our games and the CCG mission. We all look forward to any opportunity to talk about CCG.
